K-12 Alliance of Michigan Commends Governor Whitmer's Continued Commitment to Investing in Education

The K-12 Alliance of Michigan today released the following statement from Executive Director Robert McCann regarding Governor Whitmer’s State of the State Address, where she is scheduled to announce the continuation of record investments in education from preschool to college.

“We appreciate Governor Whitmer's continued focus on education and her belief that investing in our schools is an investment in our state's future. Whether it's giving kids additional opportunities through early childhood or post-graduation education, these are changes that will help students reach their best throughout their academic career. 

We hope to work alongside Governor Whitmer and the legislature to now enact the long-term investments in our K-12 schools that are needed to ensure each and every student has the opportunity to succeed for generations to come. "
